Opinions split in Prospect Heights water survey

The Prospect Heights Water Committee has released a report on its recent surveys of city residents. The committee received 823 responses from the first and second water surveys. Of those, 300 residents indicated interest in bringing in city water, while 440 residents indicated that they were not interested in city water, and 83 residents responded with a maybe.

A total of 61 residents indicated interest in attending a forum on how to improve the quality of their well water, while 209 residents indicated interest in volunteering on a subcommittee for either improving well water quality or assisting in the process to create a special service area to bring in city water.

People interested in volunteering for either subcommittee can email the water committee at watercommittee@prospect-heights.org. Updates on the committee and other resources on water issues are on the water committee's webpage on the city website at www.prospect-heights.il.us.
