Schaumburg veterans interviewed on radio
Five veterans, who are residents of Friendship Village in Schaumburg, will talk about their military experience on a special Memorial Day segment of Midwest Ballroom from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday, May 28, on WDCB 90.9 FM and at wdcb.org.
Midwest Ballroom typically features jazz and orchestral music. Each year, however, host John Russell Ghrist dedicates a Memorial Day and a Veterans Day segment to U.S. veterans in honor of his father, Glenn H. Ghrist Jr., who was an army medic in World War II.
Interviewed at Friendship Village were veterans Chuck Christensen, Allan Dalgleish, Bud Ostrand, Bill Powell and Chuck Schlott.
