Music notes: The Osmonds take the spotlight at Paramount

Return of The Osmonds

The much-loved brother-and-sister duo Donny and Marie Osmond opened a weeklong set of concerts at the Paramount Theatre Sunday. Catch them as they continue the run through Sunday, May 29. Beyoncé on the field

No one can argue Beyoncé doesn't belong in the superstar throne room: From her R&B roots to her on-screen roles and pop star status, everything she touches gets fans wanting more. She recently dropped a screaming bomb of visual and musical pop culture with her album "Lemonade," which also included drifts into country music, including the single "Daddy Lessons," currently working its way up the Billboard charts. Belvederes in the spotlight

Fitzgerald's is hosting a family affair Saturday night when far Northwest suburban-based roots rockers The Belvederes take the stage. The Belvederes - John Ford, Tyler Kock, Joe Nocchi and Joe Alonzo - will pack the headlining set with their own original music, but they also get the chance to play behind rock and R&B opener Bart Alonzo, father of drummer Joe and a musical godfather of sorts to the band. 9 p.m. Saturday, May 28, at Fitzgerald's, 6615 W. Zombies 'Season'

British rockers The Zombies first made a splash on the international music scene with the jazzy "She's Not There" in 1964. Sporting original members Colin Blunstone and Rod Argent, the new lineup will be heading to St. Charles for a show at the Arcada Theatre Sunday. 5 p.m. Sunday, May 29, at the Arcada Theatre, 105 E.
