Five hospitalized after 5-vehicle crash on I-90
Five people were taken to hospitals Sunday after a five-vehicle crash on Interstate 90 in Hoffman Estates, Illinois State Police said.
The pileup occurred about 4:15 p.m. in the eastbound lanes of the tollway near Barrington Road, police said. Five people were taken to area hospitals with nonlife-threatening injuries, according to state police.
Traffic lanes were closed briefly while emergency personnel were on the scene but have since been reopened. State police continue to investigate the crash.
