Pedal mix-up leads to crash into Buffalo Grove store

A car slammed into the side of a CVS pharmacy Wednesday morning in Buffalo Grove when an elderly driver confused the brake for the accelerator, police said Thursday.

The building on the northeast corner of Dundee and Buffalo Grove roads sustained some damage, but was structurally sound and remained open for business, according to Buffalo Grove police Lt. Tom Nugent.

There were no injuries to the driver or anyone in the store, and no citations were issued since it was on private property, Nugent said.
