Schaumburg hosts Environmental Fair May 14

Learn how to protect the environment and conserve resources when Schaumburg hosts its Environmental Fair from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday, May 14, at the Schaumburg Township District Library, 130 S. Roselle Road, Schaumburg.

The free event will feature a variety of workshops on topics including using rain as a resource, inviting nature to your yard with native landscaping and building a birdhouse. Participants also can take part in an organic food cooking demonstration by chefs from Season's 52 restaurant.

Donations will also be accepted for Habitat for Humanity ReStore Collection and Recycling Avenue.

The event is co-sponsored by the Village of Schaumburg's Environmental Committee and the Schaumburg Township District Library.
