Why still no Rolling Meadows post office?

Several years ago, the Rolling Meadows Post Office closed and residents were forced to go to the Arlington Heights Post Office for their postal needs. When asked why the post office closed, officials told us that the Post office administrators could not come to a rental agreement with the owners of the building housing the facility.

It is interesting to me that the building where the post office used to be is still vacant. How is that working out for the renters?

The Arlington post office is overcrowded. and a great inconvenience to Rolling Meadows residents.

When I am forced to use the Arlington Heights location, I take a book so I can make good use of the time I stand in line waiting for a spot at the service desk.

I will leave my complaints about its basic design and customer access to another letter.

Rolling Meadows needs its own post office. Maybe the owners of the former Dominick's store property, empty for even more years than the old post office, would consider an income stream rather than a vacant building.
