Batavia foundation's charity Fox Trot draws more than 325 participants

The Batavia Mothers' Club Foundation's 16th Annual Fox Trot 5K and 10K Race drew moree than 325 participants of all ages to the Batavia Riverwalk Saturday morning. The day featured a 5K and a 10K race as well as two noncompetitive Kids' Fun Runs.

Race volunteer co-chair club member Allison Lindy of Batavia has been helping run the event for the past eight years.

"It's a fantastic race for the community," Lindy said. "It really pulls runners in from Batavia and surrounding communities and it benefits agencies that support the Batavia Mothers' Club Foundation's mission, which is to support children and families in the area."

Funds raised through the event will support local charities in the Fox Valley area, as well as Batavia schools. Recipients will be chosen in May.
