Huntley police seek armed robber of 7-Eleven

Huntley police are searching for an armed robber who hit up a 7-Eleven at 12400 Princeton Drive early Saturday morning, police said.

Police were called to the scene about 3:09 a.m. The suspect fled before officers arrived, police said.

The store clerk told police the robber was dressed in black clothing with his hands and face covered, police said.

The man demanded money from the cash register and displayed a black handgun, police said.

After taking the cash, the suspect ran south from the store, police said.

Officers searched the area with the help of a K-9 unit from the Kane County sheriff's office, but the man was not found.
