May Meeting of the Des Plaines Art Guild

On May 10th, the Des Plaines Art Guild will hold their next general meeting, which will feature award-winning transparent watercolorist, Nancy Fortunato. The meeting takes place at 7:00 pm at Prairie Lakes Community Center, 515 E. Thacker Street in Des Plaines.

Nancy has been a professional watercolor artist for 42 years, teaching advanced watercolor classes and conducting workshops throughout the country. She has taken part in major juried exhibitions and invitational shows. Her work has also been exhibited in museums throughout the U.S. and has been collected by many public and private parties around the world, such as the Rev. Billy Graham, the Naval Air Museum in Florida and Zhejiang Academy of Fine Arts in China. Nancy has also contributed her knowledge to numerous publications and you can find her work in North Light Books series,"Splash 11," "Splash 12," and "Splash14."

The public is welcome to attend the Des Plaines Art Guild's meeting. There is no fee, but donations are appreciated. Refreshments will be served. To join the guild, download a membership form at dpag.org.
