Career center holds festival in Prospect Heights

The Harper College Learning and Career Center at 1375 S. Wolf Road is holding a community festival from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 30. The festival offers a chance to learn about the educational programing offered at the center and grab career training information. There will be entertainment, food and family fun at the open house. Family members of all ages are invited to attend. Dress is casual.

"This is a chance to showcase our career programs and raise awareness within our diverse populations about what LCC has to offer," LCC Supervisor Jennifer Brennan said. "LCC provides services and support that can really jump start careers and change lives."

Harper representatives will be on hand to discuss foundational classes such as English as a Second Language and high school equivalency prep, as well as career programs including certified nursing assistant, phlebotomy, early childhood education, hotel management, truck driving, veterinary assistant, physical therapy aide and pharmacy technician.
