Downton Barrington's Spring Wine Walk is Saturday

The merchants in downtown Barrington will host a Spring Wine Walk on Saturday, April 23, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. to kick off the summer shopping season and draw attention to the variety of merchandise from the village's unique stores.

The event will offer free wine tastings and other tasty treats, with 22 shops and 12 restaurants and wine merchants are participating in this enjoyable event. Customers can begin the Wine Walk at any participating business by picking up a location map for the tasting.

The event highlights the stores and restaurants in the village center, the Shops on Lageschulte, Barrington Commons and the Ice House Mall.

• Village Center Merchants are Alley 59, Anderson's Candy Shop, Allegro Dance Boutique, Angelina, Barrington Flower Shop, Bizarre Bazaar, Bravura Home & Gift Shop, Grassroots, Mum 117, Notice, The Annex and Vin Chicago.

• Norton's U.S.A. and The English Daisy will host their events on Lageschulte Street.

• The Ice House Mall includes the Barrington Cultural Arts Center, Savvy Spirit, Tommy Terri Boutique & Gifts, Sanctuary Salon and Tootsies Shoes.

• Barrington Commons merchants are Carol & Company, Fleur de Lis Salon and Jennie and Vera's Sweets & Savories.

The wines are being provided by Shakou, Wool Street Grill, Heinen's Fine Foods, Garfield's Beverage Warehouse, Cooper's, The Annex, McGonigal's Pub, Grassroots, Alley 59, Ciao Baby, Vintage Wine & Spirits and Vin Chicago.
