Shop and drink for a good cause in Barrington
The Barrington Area Chamber of Commerce Women's Biz Net will host a shopping adventure and fundraiser April 28 to benefit the Lauren Brown Memorial Scholarship. Shop/Sip/Socialize Girls Night Out, is 5:30-8 p.m. Thursday, April 28 at the Ice House Mall in Barrington. Women must be 21 to attend, as they can sip drinks as they shop. Retailers will host treats and promotions, complimentary appetizers will be served and raffle prizes will be awarded. The scholarship is named after the chamber's former Head of Communications, Lauren Brown, who died from ovarian cancer at 29. Tickets are $25.
