Archbishop to speak at charity event in Schaumburg
Archbishop Blase J. Cupich will speak at the 27th Annual Hearts for Hope Dinner and Auction at 6 p.m. Saturday, April 16, at Chandler's Chophouse at the Schaumburg Golf Club, 401 N. Roselle Road in Schaumburg.
In addition to the remarks by the Archbishop of Chicago, the event will feature will feature Chicago-based pop-rock band 7th heaven. Also, Pat Cox of Schaumburg will receive the "Heart of Charity" award for his role in starting Tuesday and Thursday night suppers which now feed 7,000 people per year in Des Plaines.
Proceeds from the event benefit Catholic Charities services in the Northwest suburbs. Event tickets are $95 at www.catholiccharities.net/hearts or call (847) 376-2118.
