Palatine man charged after raid turns up drugs, gun, ammo
Palatine police said they seized three bags of cocaine, a handgun, more than 50 rounds of ammunition and other drugs Thursday during a raid at the apartment of a man now facing multiple felony charges.
Angel Regino, 24, of the 200 block of Bayside Drive, was charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance with the intent to deliver, one count of unlawful use of a weapon and one count of unlawful possession of firearm ammunition without a valid state Firearm Owner's Identification card, according to a news release.
Cmdr. Craig Lesselyoung said police were investigating Regino and had reason to believe the man had drugs in his apartment. According to the release, police also found two hydrocodone pills while serving a search warrant Thursday.
Bond for Regino was set at $75,000 by Judge Joseph Cataldo Friday afternoon at the Rolling Meadows Courthouse. His next court date is May 5.
