Hoffman Estates gas station robbed at gunpoint

Hoffman Estates police are searching for a man who robbed a gas station at gunpoint Thursday night.
Police say the man came to the counter of the Clark station in the 2500 block of West Golf Road at about 8:45 p.m., feigning that he was going to buy something.
Instead, he pointed a handgun at the clerk and demanded money.
The robber ran out of the store with an undisclosed amount of cash, police said. No one was hurt.
Officers searched the area with their police dog but did not find the suspect.
The robber is described as a black man in his 50s, approximately 5 feet 5 inches tall, who was wearing a dark baseball hat, dark jacket and pants.
