Carol Stream water bills increasing

Carol Stream homeowners will see a slight increase on their water and sewer bills this spring.

The village board approved the increases this week to cover operating expenses. Residents will pay a combined $10.35 per 1,000 gallons for water and sewer services, up from $9.85. A monthly bill based on consuming 6,000 gallons of water will now cost $62.10.

The new rates will take effect May 1.
