U-46 TalentFest takes the stage Tuesday

Talented teens from Elgin Area School District U-46 will have their moment in the spotlight as they compete in the sixth annual TalentFest at 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 15, at The Hemmens Cultural Center, 45 Symphony Way, Elgin.

Two finalists from each of the five district high school talent shows have been chosen by their schools to participate in the program.

Each of the teens will perform in the first act after which the audience votes and chooses the top five.

Judges then pick the top three finishers. The judges are Joe Vassallo, chairman of the Elgin Cultural Arts Commission; Bud Wilson, president of the U-46 Educational Foundation; and Karen Castillo, president of Art for All.

Master of ceremonies is David Hunter of GreenRoom Productions.

Tickets are $5. For more information, go to facebook.com/talentfestu46.
