Horse programs held during spring break

A half-day spring break camp offered by the Forest Preserve District of DuPage County's Danada Equestrian Center aims to introduce kids to the world of horses.

"Camp Danada: Spring Break" offers kids ages 10 to 14 the opportunity to spend time with the Danada horses through hands-on work such as grooming, barn chores, games, crafts and supervised lead-line rides. Participants also will receive a Danada Horse Camp T-shirt.

Half-day sessions run 8:30 a.m. to noon or 1 to 4:30 p.m. Monday to Thursday, March 28 to 31, at Danada, 3S507 Naperville Road, Wheaton. Cost is $125 for DuPage County residents, $150 for others. Register online at dupageforest.org or call (630) 668-6012 for information.
