Palatine library offers programs aimed at women

In honor of National Women's Month, Palatine Public Library District offers several programs about women:

On Tuesday, March 1, from 7-8 p.m., financial adviser Karre Parker of Arbor Financial Services educates and empowers women in the program "Savvy Women Invest on Purpose." Parker encourages women to apply their feminine strength when managing their finances, and to take charge of their own lives.

On Monday, March 7, from 7-8 p.m., Lynn Rymarz, children's author and storyteller, portrays the fight for voting rights for women in the program "Susan B. Anthony: You Can't Vote!" Learn how her dedication and determination made a difference in helping to change history for women.

Historian and professional writer Barry Bradford visits Thursday, March 24, from 7-8:15 p.m. Bradford presents a list of the top 10 favorite first ladies in the program "America's Greatest First Ladies."
