Palatine police: Man, woman sold drugs to undercover officers
A 32-year-old Palatine man and 25-year-old Palatine woman who police say sold narcotic prescription medication to undercover officers have been charged with several counts of felony drug delivery and possession with intent to deliver.
Palatine police Cmdr. Craig Lesselyoung said an anonymous tip led police to begin investigating Casey Damm and Felicia Chovanec, who live in an apartment building on the 1200 block of North Sterling Avenue. During the undercover operation, Damm and Chovanec each delivered narcotic prescription medication to undercover officers, he said. Damm delivered the drugs three times and Chovanec did so twice, he said.
In a search of Damm and Chovanec's apartment, police found 72 hydrocodone pills and three suboxone pills, he said.
Damm and Chovanec were charged with one count of felony delivery of a controlled substance for each time they delivered drugs to undercover officers, Lesselyoung said, and each was charged with one count of felony possession with intent to deliver.
