Pedestrian in Warrenville crash in critical condition
No charges have been filed yet in the wake of a Monday evening crash involving a vehicle and a pedestrian at Route 59 and Meadow Lane in Warrenville, authorities said Tuesday.
Police said their preliminary investigation indicates the pedestrian was walking across the southbound lanes of Route 59 about 6:08 p.m. Monday when the traffic signal cycled from red to green.
At that point the driver of the vehicle went south through the intersection and struck the pedestrian.
The pedestrian is listed in critical condition at an area hospital, police said.
