Huskies a furry highlight of Winterfest at Bartlett Nature Center

Winterfest Saturday at the Bartlett Nature Center featured Adopt-a-Husky teams of Siberian Huskies and sleds that ran the center's mile trail.

The event offered an opportunity to learn about the history of dog sledding and the equipment they use.

Other events included curling, snowshoeing and snow painting. Inside, there was an Iditarod slideshow and other indoor activities.

The nature center is at 2054 W. Stearns Road. Information is at (847) 608-3100, or bartlettnaturecenter.org.
