Arlington Heights police are investigating the whereabouts of a village resident who has been missing since Monday morning.

Tim Anderson, 38, was last seen when he left home between 4:30 and 5 a.m. Monday, said his wife, Cathrall.

“I heard him get dressed and I looked at the clock, I thought he was taking the trash out so I went back to bed,” she said.

He was reported missing later Monday after his family learned he never made it to work at Northern Trust Bank.

A ping from his cellphone led officials to his silver Acura near the Spring Creek Valley Forest Preserve near Barrington Hills on Monday night, but Anderson and his phone were not in the car.

“We're trying to stay positive while the police are continuing to work. They haven't ruled anything out or found anything that indicates the worst-case scenario at this point,” Cathrall said.

Anderson was wearing blue jeans, sneakers, a Chicago Bears hooded sweatshirt, a black North Face jacket and a Chicago Bears baseball cap when he left the house, she said. He is 6 feet tall, weighs 215 pounds and has hazel eyes and brown and gray hair.

The couple have two sons, ages 3 and 6.

“We're all very worried and want him to come home,” she said.

Police say anyone with information on Anderson should call (847) 368-5300.
