Body confirmed to be missing Arlington Heights man

A body found Wednesday morning in a forest preserve near Barrington Hills has been confirmed as Tim Anderson, an Arlington Heights resident and father of two who went missing on Monday.

The body was found by forest preserve personnel about 10:20 a.m., according to the Cook County sheriff's office. Officials declined to comment on the cause of death. The Cook County medical examiner will perform an autopsy this morning.

Anderson, 38, was last seen when he left home between 4:30 and 5 a.m. Monday.

Arlington Heights police and other agencies were focusing their search near the Spring Creek Valley Forest Preserve, which occupies approximately 4,000 acres. Anderson's car was found near there Monday night.

Sheriff's police could not say how far Anderson's body was from his car. Arlington Heights police Cmdr. Nathan Hayes said there's no evidence of foul play.

Dogs were used in the search that also involved the Cook County Department of Homeland Security, as well as Arlington Heights, Barrington Hills and Cook County Forest Preserve police, Hayes said.

Anderson worked for Northern Trust Bank but never made it to the office Monday.

He and his wife have two sons, ages 3 and 6.
