St. Emily School holds McDonald's fundraiser

St. Emily School held a successful McTeacher's Night recently at the new McDonald's on Rand Road in Mount Prospect. The restaurant was full of families supporting the school, as well as waiting to see their teachers and Tommy Hawk from the Chicago Blackhawks.

Teachers overtook the restaurant to serve meals to students and families to raise money for St. Emily School. Teacher jobs included working the drive-through, greeting guests, cleaning the lobby, working the front counter, serving drinks, clearing tables, selling pies, serving ice cream and even dressing up in a pie costume. Teachers rang the school bell and sang for tips.

The school plans to use the money raised to support technology initiatives at the Mount Prospect school. Lots of students, teachers, families and friends came out in their support.

The school mascot, Bobo, was also present. All the kids came to see their teachers work at the new Mount Prospect McDonald's. A special appearance by Tommy Hawk made this a memorable evening. Special thank-you goes to teacher Bonnie Eiffes, who organized the entire event.
