BLACKSBURG, Va. (AP) - The Latest on the death of a 13-year-old Virginia girl and the two college students charged (all times local):

8:55 a.m.

The mother of a 13-year-old girl found dead over the weekend says she will speak at a news conference arranged by police in Virginia.

Tammy Weeks came to the door at her apartment in Blacksburg, a few blocks from Virginia Tech, on Tuesday morning. Weeks shared two photographs of her daughter, 13-year-old Nicole Madison Lovell, whose body was found Saturday across the state line in North Carolina.

One photo shows Nicole sticking out her tongue around age 10, wearing a shirt with an actor from the "Twilight" movies. The other shows Nicole in a Mountain Dew hat and Dr. Pepper shirt last summer.

Blacksburg police said via email that a news conference is scheduled for 2 p.m. Weeks says she'll speak but didn't give further details.

Two Virginia Tech students are charged, but police haven't said how their lives intersected with Nicole's.

Police still aren't saying exactly how the lives of a slain seventh-grader and two Virginia Tech students charged in her death intersected.

Investigators have released no details about what happened to 13-year-old Nicole Madison Lovell after she climbed out of her bedroom window last week. Her body was found Saturday after a four-day search just across the state line in North Carolina.

Eighteen-year-old David Eisenhauer is charged with kidnapping and first-degree murder. Nineteen-year-old Natalie Keepers is charged with improper disposal of a body and accessory after the fact in the commission of a felony. The two students from Maryland made their initial court appearances Monday but said little.

Their lawyers have declined to comment.
