Wheaton league studies park and rec services

Shannon Burns and Jane Hodgkinson will present the results of their position study on local park and recreation services when the League of Women Voters of Wheaton meets at 7 p.m. Feb. 18 at the Wheaton Park District Community Center, 1777 S. Blanchard Road.

Two years ago the league determined its former position was no longer relevant. To this end, the study group of Burns, Hodgkinson and Carrie Fullerton studied and surveyed all five of the park districts within the league's service area (Carol Stream, Warrenville, West Chicago, Winfield and Wheaton) plus the services of the Western DuPage Special Recreation Association.

Their findings will be presented at the free program, which is open to the public.
