3 suffer minor injuries in Crystal Lake crash

Three people suffered minor injuries in a three-vehicle crash Saturday afternoon in Crystal Lake, police said.

The driver of a Ford Expedition was cited for failure to yield when he turned left from west Route 14 and across the path of a Honda Accord heading east about 4:18 p.m., Sgt. Dean Lisi said.

The two cars collided, mostly at the front ends, Lisi said.

The impact sent the vehicles into a third car, a Mitsubishi Galant, stopped on a private drive waiting to turn onto Route 14 at the T-shaped intersection, Lisi said.

The driver and a passenger in the Ford SUV, as well as the driver of the Honda, were taken to Centegra Hospital in Woodstock for treatment of minor injuries.
