Fremont library to host preschool fair

Selecting an appropriate preschool can be a daunting task for parents. To help facilitate the process, Fremont Public Library, 1170 N. Midlothian Road, Mundelein, will hold a preschool fair from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Jan. 16.

This annual event allows caregivers to meet with representatives from area preschools and receive information to help them choose a preschool that's right for their child.

The library will host more than 20 local preschools at the fair. This free event offers an opportunity for busy parents to meet and ask questions of several different providers in a very short amount of time and at one convenient location.

Library staff has created a simple guidebook of participating providers that parents can take and make notes in. Door prizes will also be raffled off and light refreshments will be served. Children are welcome to attend but must remain with their caregivers at all times.

This is a free, drop-in program and no registration is necessary. If weather is severe, the fair will be rescheduled from 2-4 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 17. For more information, contact the Youth Services Department at (847) 918-3218.
