Images: Christmas Day in the suburbs

Christmas was celebrated throughout the Chicago suburbs Friday and Daily Herald photographers were out documenting some of the local events.

From Cook County, Kane County, to DuPage County, we visited many people sharing their Christmas with others.

We witnessed a day long event for sailors from the Naval Station Great Lakes. The Islamic Center of Naperville delivering breakfast to firefighters in Naperville. The Elgin fire department visiting Advocate Sherman Hospital and the annual Lazarus House Christmas dinner at the Methodist church in St. Charles.
