No injuries in Glendale Heights shooting

No one was injured Wednesday night when several bullets struck two vehicles and a house in Glendale Heights, authorities said Thursday.

Police said they responded at 10:29 p.m. to a report of shots fired near the intersection of Gilberto Drive and Amherst Circle.

When they arrived, the apparent target told police the shots came from a silver SUV occupied by two men who then drove south from the area. Police said the passenger in the SUV was armed with a handgun and was described as wearing a black and red jacket. No other description was available.

Police said investigators are working to determine a motive for the shooting. They said there is no apparent connection between the apparent target and the Amherst Circle area.
