Downers Grove man charged after Darien Wal-Mart shooting
A Downers Grove man is facing felony charges related to a Thursday shooting at a Wal-Mart in Darien, authorities said Sunday.
Bradley I. Morris, 20, is charged with attempted first-degree murder, aggravated battery with a firearm and aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, DuPage County state's attorney's spokesman Paul Darrah said.
Morris will appear in bond court Monday morning, Darrah said.
Just before 5:40 p.m. Thursday, three to five shots were fired after a fight inside the Wal-Mart store, 2189 75th St., Darien police said. One man was hit in the shoulder, and his injuries were not believed to be life-threatening, police said.
The shooter fled the scene, officials said, and nobody else was injured.
With the help of the U.S. Marshal Service, Morris was arrested Friday in Chicago, according to a news release from Darien police.
