No concern at top for a solution

The governors of many states say they will refuse to take Syrian refugees into their states. Immigration is federally regulated. State governors have no jurisdiction. These vows are politically motivated and have no legal standing. I do wonder what would happen if the governors actually could ban immigration in their particular states.

How would those governors prevent Syrian immigrants from crossing into their states from bordering non-ban states? (Can you say high walls?)

Once again, a very serious issue, immigration, is being used by selfish politicians to fire up their bases. They know their ideas will not work. They have little concern for this issue of human suffering and the victims of ISS's unbelievable evil. Their only concern is enhancing their images with their often unthinking supporters.
