Works by Wayne Art League featured at St. Charles library

Since 1979, the works of local artists have been on display at the St. Charles Public Library through its Artist of the Month program.

During the month of December, the Library is hosting an exhibit of 34 pieces of art created by 14 members of the Wayne Art League.

The art represented in this exhibit demonstrates the full range of media produced including watercolor, charcoal, colored pencil, graphite, pastels, acrylics and oils.

Members of the Wayne Art League meet weekly to paint or draw. Meetings are held at a variety of locations depending on the time of year including local parks, private gardens, businesses and the Little Home Church by the Wayside in Wayne.

Throughout the year, the Wayne Art League participates in group exhibits throughout the Fox Valley area.

The exhibit can be seen anytime in December the Library is open: Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.; Friday 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Saturday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and Sunday noon to 5 p.m.
