Prospect Heights Metra riders can use Passport for parking

The city of Prospect Heights is offering Passport mobile pay at its Metra station lot beginning Tuesday, Dec. 1. Passport's solution allows drivers to pay for parking from the convenience of their smartphone or tablet. With Passport, Metra riders will have the option of making credit card payments as opposed to using cash.

This launch partners the city with Charlotte, North Carolina-based Passport and Chicago-based Total Parking Solutions.

"The Passport mobile payment app is an exciting update to our Metra station parking location," said Mayor Nicholas Helmer. "This will make paying for parking and getting on the Metra as quick of a process as possible."

"We're looking forward to our launch in the City of Prospect Heights," said Alexandra Wells, sales associate at Passport. "Drivers will enjoy how quickly they can pay through our app and the convenience of making payments from their smartphone."

Users can download the free PassportParking app for iOS or Android devices. Users can also register online at ppprk.com.
