Now, a clear choice next November?
The recent events in the Middle East and Europe this past week may have decided the general election next November. The ghosts of 9/11 continue to frighten us, successfully fulfilling radical Muslim ideology intended to destroy America.
It's now paralyzed us to freeze our borders, refusing refugees from war torn nations, rejecting the rhetoric of Emma Lazarus and rendering the Statue of Liberty just a hollow metal sculpture.
Is our paranoia that great that we must relinquish America's title of "The World's Melting Pot," making our definition of freedom farcical, challenging Francis Scott Key's words written 200 years ago, "O'er the land of the free and home of the brave"?
It would literally be a crime to simply elect a political party that caters to our baser instincts rather than nobler pursuits this country has stood for these past 226 years.
