Business growth in Park Ridge with a new martial arts school

The White House recently announced a Presidential Proclamation recognizing November as National Entrepreneurship Month, 2015. In recognition of this event, Summit Martial Arts is proud to announce the opening of a new martial arts school in Park Ridge scheduled for early 2016.

"It is a tremendous honor for me to join the Park Ridge community as a business owner," stated Master David Kim, owner of Summit Martial Arts. "We have been running a very successful taekwondo school in Schiller Park and also spearhead a very unique martial arts program embedded within Plato Learning Academy in Chicago. Now, we're really excited to expand into Park Ridge."

Master David Kim is an honorably discharged U.S. Marine who has spent more than two decades training in the martial arts.

According to President Obama in the proclamation, "Entrepreneurship builds stronger and more secure communities, empowering people of every gender, race, and background." Echoing that sentiment, the Chicago Small Business Administration described small businesses as the "engine of our economy" and entrepreneurs are the driving force behind small businesses. With Kim opening a new business in Park Ridge, he and other business owners are helping to foster the economic growth of the entire area.

Summit Martial Arts, which will be located at 811 Devon Ave. in Park Ridge, will specialize in traditional taekwondo and hapkido. The soon-to-be Park Ridge martial arts school, led by instructors recognized by the World Taekwondo Federation and Kukkiwon (the World Taekwondo Headquarters), will offer classes for all age groups and fitness levels to include an elite level Olympic training team that will travel throughout the U.S. and internationally. Families interested in helping their child earn a black belt in the martial arts can get more information from Summit's current website at www.summitmartialarts.net.
