Zion man charged in Round Lake Beach robbery; second suspect sought

A Zion man has been arrested and police are seeking a second suspect in a robbery and beating early Sunday morning in Round Lake Beach, officials said.

Cornelius Sistrunk, 20, of Zion, was arrested on Monday and charged with aggravated robbery; a $500,000 warrant for aggravated robbery has been issued for another suspect, Richard W. Randall, 21, whose address is unknown, according a Round Lake Beach police news release.

The victim called police about 12:20 a.m. Sunday and said he was leaving his job on the 200 block of East Rollins Road with money from the business, the release said. He told officers he had been beaten and robbed by two people, who then ran away.

Anyone with information about Randall's location should call 911. However, police said, Randall is considered armed and dangerous, so people should not approach him.
