Donate pair of new socks to help the homeless

This October, Socks & Souls wants to prove that even the smallest act of caring, like donating a pair of new socks, can help make a huge difference in the lives of your neighbors who are homeless!

"Socktober" is a national sole warming movement that gives everyone an easy and fun way to help those in need via a new pair of sock, and Socks & Souls is helping by hosting its own Illinois Socktober collections throughout the area.

Why should you participate in Socktober?

Because every night in the United States, an estimated 600,000 people live on the streets and need simple things, like socks, to help get them through the night. Socks are the most needed but least donated article of clothing in homeless shelters.

There is a drop-off box in the multipurpose room at Bartlett Village Hall, 228 S. Main St.

Donations of new socks for the homeless in the Chicago area will be accepted throughout the month of October!

Help the homeless warm their feet in these cold months ahead!
