Hillary put herself ahead of nation

Thus far, millions of words have been uttered or written about presidential candidate, Hillary Clinton's, private server and email operation. The words of the chattering class have been divided between those who are trying to discredit her and those who are her apologists.

Out of all these words, voters really only need to know the following:

First, as a senior government official (first as a U.S. senator and then as a secretary of state), Mrs. Clinton was fully briefed on matters pertaining to the creation, processing, storing and retention of federal, work-related documents. Also, she was similarly briefed on the protocol for retrieving, handling, sending, and storage of sensitive documents.

Second, she had at her disposal the most elaborate information technology systems and services in the world to use in the furtherance of her governmental duties.

For whatever reasons, she eschewed use of these assets. Instead, she had a federal employee work on his personal time to cobble together and install a much less sophisticated, much less secure system in her off-site quarters and offices.

What are the "take-aways" from these facts?

First, if Mrs. Clinton is too stupid or too detached to have understood federal requirements for handling government documents and sensitive information, she is unfit to be president.

Second, if Mrs. Clinton was willing to put her personal needs for privacy and secrecy ahead of the security of our nation, she is unfit to be president.

I believe that Mrs. Clinton knew exactly what she was doing, and I believe that Mrs. Clinton did put her own personal interests above those our nation - thereby exposing untold numbers to danger.

I also believe Mrs. Clinton should be prosecuted for her neglect of duty and recklessness.
