No such thing as an atheist in the end
I would like to answer the letter from Theo Utchen in the Opinion Section Sept. 5 claiming the world would be better off without religion.
It never fails that when an atheist claims to have the answer to a religious question, they are always promoting their religion and Utchen's answer is no exception. It reminds me of this story:
Two men traveling on a plane happened to be sitting side by side on the plane. For quite a while they didn't talk to each other and then the ice broke and they started talking. After a while they were chatting like old friends. Then the one said to the other - "I want to tell you something. It's only fair that I tell you." "Go ahead" said the second man. "I'm an Atheist", said the first man. "Awww, no fooling? Are you telling the truth?", said the second man. The first man held his hand in front of his face, palm out and said "So help me God."
Just let me say that I don't believe that there is a 100 percent atheist - I'm sure that there are none in hell. They aren't there long before they realize that there is a God.
