Des Plaines church offers pet blessing
At 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 3, St. Martin's Episcopal Church in Des Plaines will offer a pet blessing with prayers and treats at West Park, 651 S. Wolf Road, in Des Plaines.
Additionally, at 10 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 4, at the church, 1095 E. Thacker St., Des Plaines, everyone is welcome to bring their pets for a service honoring our companions while bringing photos of those who have passed away.
The church will provide a service, Eucharist and music followed by treats. Everyone is welcome.
"Our pets are such an important part of our lives and one of the many ways we experience God's love for us," said the Rev. M.E. Eccles.
