CCU hosts identity theft workshop

WAUKEGAN - Consumers Credit Union will host a free seminar, "Identity Theft," to help with the protection of your personal information. The event will be begin at 5:30 Oct. 15 at the Holiday Inn, 6161 W. Grand Ave., Gurnee.

The workshop is led by Tricia Drexel, partner relations manager of BALANCE Financial Fitness. Drexel will provide attendees with answers to questions on how your identity can be stolen, what criminals do with your information once they have it, and tips for preventing identity theft. Additionally, and just as important, the workshop will also discuss methods on how to recover from theft of your identity, as well.
