Allmetal Inc. celebrates 100th anniversary

BENSENVILLE - Allmetal Inc. recently celebrated its centennial anniversary at the company's Bensenville location.

Allmetal is a manufacturer of laser welded air spacers, muntin bars, decorative products and components for the insulated glass industry, as well as sill track cover and screen channel. It is a third generation family-owned and operated company beginning with Paul N. Collin, who passed on the family business to his son Paul W. and now it is being run by his son Philip Collin.

"In the life of a business spanning 100 years, half of which I remember, you'll witness many evolutions. The faces that pass through the door, the product and material mix, and those you sell to come to mind," said Allmetal owner Philip Collin. "I'm privileged to work beside an amazing team and to have firsthand witnessed the growth and refinement of Bensenville Illinois.

"Learn, love, play, work, and raise a family, this is our life; Bensenville is a great spot on to conduct this," he added.

The company, with eight locations globally, employs 240 people in the U.S. and 21 in Europe, and is gearing up to hire more as business continues to grow.

Allmetal has been located in Bensenville for over 40 years, currently with two separate facilities in the village.

"Having a company last for 100 years is truly a remarkable accomplishment and tells a lot about the quality of people running and working for them." said Village President Frank Soto "It was an honor to be a part of their 100th anniversary.
