Downtown plan on Lake Zurich agenda

Lake Zurich village board members will meet at 7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 21, to discuss a proposal for single-family homes near the downtown waterfront. Village hall is at 70 E. Main St. downtown. The elected officials will hold an informal courtesy review of plans by Libertyville-based StreetScape Development LLC to build the 17 homes on a village-owned parcel across from the waterfront area called the Promenade. Village officials said homes would cost $500,000 to $700,000, according to the developer's tentative plan. The board is expected to decide if the proposal should officially enter the village approval process.
