Ryan leads Carmel Catholic' win

Kayla Ryan fired a 1-over-par 38 on Countryside Golf Course's Traditional layout, and Carmel Catholic's girls golf team carded a 173 to record an East Suburban Catholic Conference win over visiting St. Viator (220) in Mundelein on Wednesday.

Carmel improved to 6-0 and 2-0 in the ESCC. The Corsairs also counted Charlotte Roberts' 43, Alexa Amato's 46 and Erin Kehoe's 46.

St. Viator was lead by Paige Patano with a 51.

Carmel plays at Vernon Hills today and hosts Libertyville at Brae Loch on Friday.

Grant d. Vernon Hills: KiLynn Gold and Brianna Burgeson shot a 41 and 42, respectively, to lead the Bulldogs (180) past the Cougars (194).

Faith Jung led Vernon Hills with a 43.

Libertyville d. Lakes: At Antioch Golf Club, Simone Mikaelian's 36 led the visiting Wildcats (155) to victory over the Eagles (215).

Megan Sturonas and Madeleine Hollinger each carded a 39 for Libertyville.
