Gurnee mayor will be guest at Woodland Elementary event

Gurnee Mayor Kristina Kovarik will be a special guest at Woodland Elementary East as part of Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports Family Night from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 11, at the school, 17261 W. Gages Lake Road, Gages Lake. Officials said Kovarik will greet students and families and sign autographs. The evening also will include ice cream from Culver's, an interactive disc jockey and appearances by Wylie the Wildcat and Gurnee police and firefighters. Cost will be $1 per person at the door.
