Prosecutors: Palatine man exposed himself to young girl
A Palatine man who prosecutors say exposed himself to a young girl last month was ordered held on $200,000 bail Tuesday.
Consepsion Sandoval-Miranda, 57, was charged with sexual exploitation of a minor and unlawful restraint.
Cook County assistant state's attorney Anisa Jordan said Sandoval-Miranda was at a party on Aug. 9 at an apartment complex on the 1800 block of North Green Lane in Palatine. She said Sandoval-Miranda exposed himself to a young girl there and told her not to tell anyone what he did.
The girl ran into a bedroom where her brother was playing video games and told him what had happened, prompting Sandoval-Miranda to attempt to prevent them from leaving, Jordan said.
The children were 5 and 7, Jordan said.
Sandoval-Miranda has no criminal background. He next appears in court on Sept. 24.
