Sign up for Platzkonzert 5K in Hoffman Estates

To kick off the village of Hoffman Estates' 10th annual Platzkonzert Germanfest on Saturday, Sept. 12, the village will host its second 5K walk/run through the scenic Prairie Stone Business Park. The race is sponsored by Chick-fil-A of Schaumburg and all race proceeds will benefit the Schaumburg-Hoffman Estates Rotary Club.

Beginning at 9 a.m. and set on a flat, fast course, all participants in the Germanfest 5K will receive performance racing socks, complimentary post-race food and beverage, and other goodies. Awards will also be given to top race finishers by age category. Children's activities will be provided during the race.

The entry fee is $25 for preregistration and $30 for race-day registration. Preregistration is required prior to Friday, Sept. 4.
